Counselling & Therapy in Caterham
My website is currently under construction and will be ready soon
About Me
My Approach and Commitment
My practice came about seven years ago, inspired by both my personal life and the professional paths I’ve walked. My time in primary mental health care, alongside my own journey, has played a huge part in shaping how I work with people. At the core of my work is a genuine wish to help you experience real, lasting change—in how you think, feel, behave, and even how you see yourself. I don’t believe in quick fixes; instead, I work closely with you, building a relationship that supports meaningful changes you’ll notice in your day to day life.
Clarity and Collaboration in Therapy
I recognise that therapy can seem mysterious or intimidating to many. To address this, I make it a priority to ensure that all my clients have a clear understanding of the therapeutic process and how they can benefit from each session. Every client arrives with unique circumstances, and my training enables me to tailor therapy to suit your specific needs and goals. Whether through conversation, experimentation, or creative work, together we explore the best path forward for your journey.
Support Through Vulnerability
Taking the first step towards therapy often feels daunting—sometimes nerve-wracking, exposing vulnerability, and even a little frightening. Though therapy can be difficult, I am committed to offering you guidance and support. Change begins within the therapy room, and I will be present with you through whatever may arise.
Moving Forward Together
No matter what difficulties you may be facing, you do not have to face them alone. Drawing from both my personal experience and years of practice, I know that it is truly possible to overcome a wide range of challenges. With the right support, progress and healing are within reach.
What I Offer
Both adults and children can struggle in very similar ways — feeling sad, depressed, anxious, not good about themselves, or finding it hard to manage certain behaviours or psychological conditions. What’s different is how we work together.
Adults often prefer to talk, while children don’t always have words — and that’s where art is effective. Both ways are powerful. Whatever approach feels right for you, my aim is to create a warm, relaxed environment where you or your child feels comfortable working with me.
I’m patient and offer gentle guidance and support, and together we find what’s at the heart of things and how to solve these. Children rarely want to understand how therapy works — they just need to feel safe. For adults, it’s a collaboration; you don’t need to know where to start or what to say as I’m fully involved in sessions and help you to get the most from every one.
Whatever brings you here, you’ll find I care and a real commitment to making therapy work for you or your child.
